SUITORS & SWEETHEARTS (6 Contemporary Romance Stories Celebrating African Joy)

I came across this anthology through a Facebook author friend who was one of the writers featured in the book. I must admit the first thing caught my eye was the cover, the model was really attractive and that didn't help my situation with my weakness for handsome men in romance books. Because for me, there are three things that will always make me buy a book, always. First, it's the cover, if the cover is really attractive and got my attention, I will see myself turning back the book to read what is about because I'm trying to picture the character on the cover and put them in the story, then if I found out the story is something I would read, I would consider the author, if it's someone I'm familiar with and if I've read their books before....If I like the cover, like the story line and like the author, then I'm sold.

Same with this anthology, I was attracted by the cover, the I read that all the stories are stories that celebrate African Romance, and I can't figure out anything more interesting than African Romance in my eyes.

This anthology has six wonderful stories, all of them set in Africa, from Nigeria to Mauritius, with a mixture of tropes from, second chance romance, forbidden love, one-night stand, rockstar romance, and billionaires. So, there is mostly something for everyone who loves romance reads, but no matter the trope, all these stories are so captivating in their own way. They are all kind of stories that leave you wanting more and more, I was turning the pages because they don't slow down until the end.

This anthology introduced me to new romance authors that have now made their way into the list of my favorite authors. One of the stories is book one of a series, and I will be reading the whole series as I was hooked on the first book.

If you're looking for good African Romance stories with Alpha Men that enlightens us on culture, love, and tradition, then this is the anthology to put on your reading list, and no matter how long you get through all the stories, it's worth the purchase and the read.
